FIFTY TWO
Ultra local extra fresh
Over 500 different herbs, salads, edible flowers and fruits are grown by Kitchen Gardener, Emma Pugh, to offer guests something different when they dine at Rudding Park.
Renowned garden designer, Matthew Wilson (former Head of Site and Curator at RHS Harlow Carr, panellist on Radio 4’s Gardeners Question Time and presenter of Channel 4 series ‘Landscape Man’) worked with the team at Rudding Park to design the Kitchen Garden which is 1320 square metres and includes 52 raised beds made from English Oak trees grown in the grounds at Rudding Park.
Open daily from May to September, guests are encouraged to explore the garden and its array of produce with a large number of quality heritage varieties that are usually hard to find.
Organised tours of the Kitchen Garden are also available as part of our Lunch and Afternoon Tea experiences.
Using organic and no-dig principles, the gardeners enrich the soil with a variety of organic matter so the crops are packed with nutrients giving the freshest seasonal flavours and textures on your plate. FIFTY TWO has been designed to create a sense of food theatre and you are all invited!
