Sarah and Alex tied the knot on Thursday 8 September 2022 with a ceremony in the Jupiter Room followed by a beautiful reception in the Crosby Suite.

So, how did you two meet?
We met by chance in the age of internet dating, and we both knew we’d found our other half.
When did you know they were ‘the one’/ how did they pop the question?
We’re not into grand gestures, more quiet confirmation and affirmation.
What was the biggest MUST HAVE for your wedding?
Surrounding ourselves with friends and family, they're the memories we’ll treasure.

Other than saying ‘I do’ what is the most unforgettable moment from the day?
Hard to say – we got married on the day the queen died so I guess that’s pretty memorable!
Which supplier was a real stand out for you? The unsung star who deserves a special mention.
Really hard to chose one, all are wonderful small businesses making great waves:
Florist, Zosia from @studioterraflora – home grown blooms picked from her garden.
Rings – Cathy created our rings from heirloom gold, creating bespoke designs that are completely unique to us @cathysutherlandjewellery
Julia was a complete professional, always calm and in control, which is exactly what we needed @juliajeckellmakeupartist
Matt’s photos are completely perfect, he took real care to capture all our guests throughout the day leaving us with so many beautiful photos, going beyond what we could have hoped for @mattsimphoto

What was it in your eyes that gives Rudding Park the WOW factor?
We wanted a small but beautiful wedding, and Rudding Park lends itself well to cosy grandeur.
How did you style the space? Did your wedding day have a theme?
I grew and dried all the flowers and plants I used to decorate the space, along with my parents at their small holding – Rudding Park was the perfect place to experiment with our ideas.

What’s your best advice you could give to couples who are about to tie the knot at Rudding Park?
Stay the night before to extend your stay, and keep everything simple as you’re all getting ready!
