Sophie and Lewis tied the knot on Monday 1 August 2022 with a ceremony in the chapel and a beautiful reception in the Radcliffe Room.

So, how did you two meet?
On the dating app Tinder over 6 years ago.
When did you know they were ‘the one’/ how did they pop the question?
We were back home in Leeds for the weekend (we live in London) and Lewis proposed on his birthday so that we were surrounded by friends and family and I was all dressed up for the occasion (he knew this was important for the photos!).
What was the biggest MUST HAVE for your wedding?
The Pic n Mix table - it was a great talking point and made some great photos.

Other than saying ‘I do’ what is the most unforgettable moment from the day?
Walking out of the chapel as husband and wife and being greeted by all of our friends and family and walking through our confetti toss.

What was it in your eyes that gives Rudding Park the WOW factor?
The chapel, Rudding House and the beautiful grounds.
How did you style the space? Did your wedding day have a theme?
It was Yorkshire Day so our theme was white roses and our colour palette was white excluding bridesmaid dresses which were blue.

What is your funniest memory from the day?
Our 3 year old niece Willow (also our flower girl) stealing our thunder during our first dance. She stood next to us dancing and made sure none of the attention was on us - which we really appreciated.

What’s your best advice you could give to couples who are about to tie the knot at Rudding Park?
Try and take in every moment as you blink and the day is over.

We couldn't have had a more amazing experience at Rudding Park. Isobel Hidson was our wedding planner and she was incredible, she made us both feel so at ease and gave us so much advice. We then had Amy on the day of the wedding to ensure everything went smoothly, she was also amazing and was there to reassure us on the day with any nerves. Every member of staff we came into contact with during the planning and day were so lovely. The attention to detail and incredible customer service really is what makes Rudding Park the most wonderful venue. We couldn't recommend the venue more for the most perfect wedding!
